After a lot of considerations – and talk with the members, I decided to change the forum, including the forum name, into something more general to attract more members.

The forum is now for anyone working with and creating games. It is possible to discuss all types of tools & programs used for this matter – and not GS only – and to share ideas, games, offer art and codes etc. – including of course, debating.

For that reason the name changed from GameSaladForum to ThatGameforum – and in the beginning the URL www.thatgameforum.com pointed directly to gamesaladforum.com

Of course this was not a solution which would work or be reasonable in the long run, because the name GameSaladForum didn’t fit to the forum subject anymore – and I needed to replace the first URL with the second one.

First a new FTP was created, and all the content from the ‘old’ GSF ftp was transferred to the new one.

After this the old URL needed to be deleted from host – and pointing to the new URL.

Unfortunately the update of DNS takes a while, and it will take some time before everyone can see the page again. It looks like it’s working perfectly fine now though

Members have been notified through the forum admin mail system – to make sure they know about the changes.

And of course the news was sent out through Twitter and Facebook too

It took a couple of years before we finally decided to create this service and offer our knowledge to others who wish to add a community platform to their web pages, services, products, hobbies.
